We are looking for a competent Technical and Commercial Proposal Writer who will be responsible for identifying, researching, and pursuing  International,  United Nations and International NGO’s contracts and proposals within capability of the company. The Proposal Writer will  identify such opportunities, develop & create the required responses to Request For Information [RFI], Request For Quote [RFQ], Request For Proposal [RFP], etc.) and manage the technical and commercial proposal process.

You will be responsible for drafting, developing content and solutions, and ensuring the proposal is in compliance with all Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) regulations and requirements outlined in the solicitation.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Identify various International , United Nations and International NGO’s RFQ/RFP & RFI’s that the company can engage in.
  • Review and understanding the RFPs, RFIs, RFQs or other solicitation documentation for response requirements
  • Develop and write high-quality proposal content, including technical, commercial, management, resumes, past performance, and other narrative volumes.
  • Develop past performance and other section format/templates in accordance with the RFP requirements and scope specific to each proposal effort
  • Manage and coordinate  information to and from teaming partners and internal contributors
  • Ensure that the spellings and grammar used in sentences are in accordance with the international communication style.
  • Provide conceptual leadership for document design, while ensuring RFP instructions and internal brand guidelines pertaining to format, fonts, etc. are being followed.
  • Collaborate with proposal contributors and stakeholders to ensure accurate and compliant content.
  • Deliver compliant, professionally produced proposals within customer-defined timeframes.
  • Conduct kick-off meetings and color reviews with external leadership and owners.

Required Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Business Administration, Procurement, creative writing, communication, or a related field is required.
  • 3-5 Years Experience in similar Proposal Writing.
  • A strong knowledge of and experience in managing UN and International NGO’s RFQs/RFPs  and the proposal process.
  • Knowledge of the International  and UN procurement process and the FAR.
  • Excellent language skills, including writing, editing, verbal communication, presentation skills, and exacting attention to detail.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), including excellent command of Word (using styles, tables, TOC, sections, etc.), Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, and the ability and aptitude to work with SharePoint and Web applications for collaboration and tracking activities.
  • Strong organizational skills – i.e., can ensure consistent adherence to processes and maintenance of data files/directories.
  • Willingness to be flexible in work hours and demonstrate a commitment to meeting deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel locally and in the region if need be.
